About Us
The Association of Business Service Leaders in Romania (ABSL) is a leading organization representing the business services sector, gathering high profile companies which conduct business in the area of Shared Services Center (SSC), Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO), Research and Development (R&D).
ABSL Romania aims to lead the Business Service Sector’s expansion and transformation into an integral part of Romania’s economic growth through industry collaboration and by engaging authorities and interest groups in developing the key operational and development aspects.
ABSL Romania goal is to support the long-term development and dynamic growth of the business services sector and increase investment attractiveness of Romania as a leading localization for outsourcing and offshoring projects. It aims to enhance industry principles and objectives, by facilitating the exchange of knowledge, experience and best practices.
ABSL Romania has more than 60 Members: Core Members, Associate Members and Supporting Members.
The activity of the Association is managed by the Board Members and the operational team.
Members of Association may include employers, i.e. individuals, legal entities or another organizational unit that employ employees and conduct business in basic activities of the business services sector, promote such activities or provide professional advice to the entities which perform such activity.

ABSL is a global brand which started back in 2009, on the initiative of the biggest companies representing the business services sector in Poland.
Since then, the Association of Business Service Leaders has extended in Czech Republic and Romania, which have been at the vanguard of the growth in Business Services over the last 5 years. In 2019, two new ABSL locations appeared: ABSL Bosnia and Herzegovina and ABSL Latvia.
ABSL Members include companies which conduct business in the area of Shared Services Centre (SSC), Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO), Research and Development (R&D) and companies contributing to the sector’s growth.
