Iași Business Mixer is the third conference organized by ABSL in Iași, dedicated to the local business services community and the northern region of Romania.
Together as a community, the purpose of the event is to facilitate best practice sharing between companies of our industries, to acknowledge the challenges and the opportunities ahead, develop a clearer vision about the strategies and a set of solutions that could find their implementation.
People practices nowadays undergo changes to deliver the HR solutions needed to create a human centred, personalized and memorable employee experience, by using the latest digital technologies. This event will also tackle the challenges brought by the new generation, allowing us to share resourceful approaches to Recruit and Develop and Retain our employees.
Strategic partners of ABSL will share their expertise, member companies will present their case studies during a panel discussion, and a workshop will engage participants in meaningful discussions on the theme: How People Practices can thrive in an age of Disruption: Recruitment, Talent Development & Retention.

From a manufacturing and sales background, Colin spent 18 years of his career with The Sealed Air Corporation where he built a strong reputation for Sales success including 2 prestigious European awards for Sales performance. From this, his career moved into Organisational & People Performance taking him for 3 years in Paris and then a further 3 years in the USA where he travelled across North America, South Africa, China and the length of Europe developing and training literally hundreds of Sales and management professionals and organizations.
In 2009 he moved to Romania to continue his work and formed Achieve International SRL to broaden his scope in organizational change and performance working with key company’s such as Petrom, Baker Tilly, Provident, Groupama, BMW, HP, etc. and, for the past 4 years, working with the Corporate Office Solutions (COS) sales team. In October 2017, Colin joined Avison Young Romania as Senior Vice-President of Enterprise Solutions & Advisory. Colin states “I’m really excited this brand new challenge and about bringing a fresh, new approach and perspective to the Real Estate market here in Romania whilst continuing my work in promoting this wonderful country as the ideal location for foreign investors”
Colin is also Chairman of The British Romanian Chamber of Commerce (BRCC) , A senior Tutor with the Institute of Sales Management and an associate lecturer with The University of Bucharest. A father to two sons, Dan & Matt and proud grandfather to little Freddie. Colin also supports 2 charities in Romania (Casa Ioana shelter for abused and homeless women and children and Light into Europe who provide guide dogs for the blind).

With more than 14 years of experience, Daniel began his career at EOS KSI Romania, the largest receivables management company in Romania. Since 2004 he held various positions in EOS developing his area of expertise in operations and people management, business development and outsourcing. During his career at EOS he was responsible for regional expansion as well as launching and developing several lines of operations. Starting 2011 Daniel joined Optima assuming company’s management and future development. Daniel is also board member of the Bucharest Community Foundation, a marathon runner, fundraiser for various causes and initiator of several social community projects.

Between 2007 – 2013 he was the coordinator of the Business Collection of the Universul Juridic publishing house – the most important collection dedicated to entrepreneurs in Romania – where Marius Ghenea, Gabriel Biriş, Claudiu Vrânceanu, Alin Popescu, Felix Daniliuc, Mihail Marcu, Felix Patrascanu were published.

She was involved in the first projects initiated by ACCA for and together with the Outsourcing and Shared Services industry – regional roundtables, workshops and conferences and the launch of the ACCA GBS qualifications – and she is passionate about understanding the trends and developments of this specific industry.
