The Association of Business Service Leaders in Romania (ABSL), the leading organization representing the business services industry is organizing its 3rd annual conference dedicated to the services branch.
The event, “Romania: The Shining Star of Business Services. Delivering High End Solutions Across the Globe.”, will take place on October 8th, at Radisson Blu, in Bucharest, Romania and it it will be bringing together representatives of leading business service centers in Romania and abroad, governmental and local authorities, as well as organizations supporting the growth of this industry.
This year’s event will also be acknowledging the most innovative, cutting edge initiatives of the industry during the ABSL Awards Gala. The event will take place on the same day of the conference, October 8th, starting with 8 PM, at Radisson Blu, Atlas Room and will be available upon separate registration.

Adrian joined Office Depot 10 years ago as a fresh graduate and is now an Operations Manager for the Accounts Receivables function, leading teams that look after the Corporate and SME’s customers in the UK, Ireland, France & DACH-BeLux. Adrian is currently undertaking an MBA with the Open University and holds a master’s degree in Project Administration and Evaluation from „Babeș-Bolyai” University in Cluj-Napoca, as well as bachelor’s degree in Management from the same university. Adrian has 10 years of experience in the SSC environment, in the last 7 leading various teams in multiple engagements and projects within Europe also embracing various operational roles and responsibilities such as implementing harmonization, quality and reporting or overseeing transitions. Besides his role as an Operations Manager, Adrian is passionate about travelling and reading but also a former mountain marathon runner currently focusing on swimming, tennis, cycling… basically a sports and nature enthusiast.

Experienced Human Resources Manager with a demonstrated history of working for more than 12 years in the outsourcing/offshoring industry. Skilled in HR Consulting, Training and Development, Executive & Technical Recruitment, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Performance Management, Alex has extensive experience in coordinating both local and international HR teams. Full of energy and motivated to change the way of leading colorful HR teams whilst working with the most demanding and appreciated leaders inside the organization. Alex is now proudly coordinating the entire HR activity in Arvato, managing a team of 17 HR professionals located in three cities from Romania. Andreea Stanescu
Andreea joined Stefanini in 2011 and she is currently Vice President of Service Delivery for EMEA region. She is responsible for the delivery of IT support services – service desk and infrastructure – in Europe, through the service centers in Romania, Poland, Belgium and the Republic of Moldova, and she is coordinating the field support teams in the region. Andreea majored in Management from The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) and graduated from the Executive Development program at Queens University in Canada. She started her career in DHL as a tele-sales supervisor, then worked for 14 years at Vodafone Romania. In 2010 he stepped into entrepreneurship with Optima Solutions and Services, a contact center that provided services, then returned to the corporate world within Stefanini. Throughout her career she has coordinated multicultural teams and she is passionate about traveling.
Anne-Marie Diaconu
Anne Marie is Leasing and Asset Manager for Skanska Romania, being in lead of leasing activities and relationship with the clients for Skanska Romania’s projects. At the same time, she is responsible of the project’s divestment, the final project phase in Skanska’s business model. She has joined the Romanian team of the Swedish development company in April 2016, following 13 years in ING out of which the last six years as Real Estate Category Manager at NN Group in Amsterdam (after ING divested its Insurance and Investment Management business by creating the NN Group). Anne Marie has graduated the Foreign Languages department of the Bucharest University, a fact that led her to be a high school teacher for her first professional years. In parallel she joined Orange in the Customer Care Division followed by ING where her professional career in real estate started by moving up through the ranks to Change Management, Facility Management, Real estate Category Manager. She successfully delivered as being part of the start-up team creating the Pension company for ING Insurance; the re-branded campaign of ING to NN for EMEA, driving transformation under the umbrella of the workplace management by implementing the flexible and collaborative working environment for NN across its business units in Europe.

He leads Everest Group’s Locations Optimization practice and has experience of assisting clients on topics related to location portfolios, benchmarking, and global service delivery strategy. Recent work includes assisting a large financial services firm in transforming their global operations strategy, a report on talent models for automation CoEs, and helping a large natural resources firm in benchmarking its global services portfolio with select peers.

From this, his career moved into Organisational & People Performance taking him for 3 years in Paris and then a further 3 years in the USA where he travelled across North America, South Africa, China and the length of Europe developing and training literally hundreds of Sales and management professionals and organizations. Cristina Rogobete
With an overall experience of 9 years in the recruitment industry, Cristina had specialized her skills in the last years in managing high volume projects, both locally and internationally. Having a previous background in coordinating permanent recruitment end-to-end, in 2013 she decided to join Hays and build up the local delivery for one of the biggest regional accounts, acting as leader of the outsourced recruitment solution implemented by Hays in Romania. In 2016 she was appointed as Strategic Clients Manager for Romania, having the responsibility to manage and develop the clients portfolio on behalf of Hays permanent and outsourced solutions. Cristina is a Romanian native speaker, fluent in English with a Master’s Degree in Organizational and Human Resources Psychology from University of Bucharest.

With more than 14 years of experience, Daniel began his career at EOS KSI Romania, the largest receivables management company in Romania. Since 2004 he held various positions in EOS developing his area of expertise in operations and people management, business development and outsourcing. During his career at EOS he was responsible for regional expansion as well as launching and developing several lines of operations. Starting 2011 Daniel joined Optima assuming company’s management and future development. Iulian Patrascanu
Iulian Patrascanu is the founding partner at Fine Law and throughout his career, which has spanned for more than 20 years already, he has been advising high level employers on all aspects of employment law and labour relations and representing clients in employment related litigation. He advocates for the highest standards of employment and labour practices and he is the author of the first HR Legal Compliance Program in Romania. Iulian assists employers with execution of HR Legal Compliance Program, executive contracts and compensation, restrictive covenants, termination strategies, wrongful dismissal, performance management, collective agreement drafting, negotiations and interpretation, union mediation and collective agreement grievance arbitration. He started his career after a profound international education in Social Sciences in Germany, Canada and the UK as L&D lead for a branch of Saint Gobain group in Germany. He then became HR Director for the AOL German business where he played a strong role in the company’s European transformation from the “founder” of the internet to a Telco. Building up to speed HR that is a strong business partner and service provider at the same time. At AOL he strongly engaged in alternative educational set up to recruit and develop IT service employees from non-academic background. The main focus in Capgemini HR is to make gender balance a real success, transform the traditional performance management systems into a feedback and principle based process. Attracting and developing the right people in and for a people business is one of Capgemini’s main focus areas. In Romania Klaus-Peter is supporting Capgemini’s growth from approximately 500 employees in 2015 to a perspective of 1.000 in 2018. She returned to Poland in 2009 and having successfully established and developed new Hays specialism dedicated to servicing the needs of Business Services centers across Poland and later Central Eastern Europe she still acts as a Business Services CEE Practice Head. Malgorzata has been also the key driver of the development and delivery of outsourced recruitment solutions to Hays major corporate clients across the region and in 2014 she was appointed Managing Director for Hays Talent Solutions. Experienced in providing consultation and advice to organizations to board level, in 2016 she was given the additional responsibility and as a Head of Commercial Strategy she is managing the Strategic Clients portfolio of behalf of all Hays business lines. Malgorzata, a native Polish fluent in English, obtained Master’s Degree in Sociology from Warsaw University. She developed major consultancy projects on EU financing, covering investment assignments in various fields like industry, road infrastructure, water and waste water infrastructure, medical, rural non-agricultural services, accommodation structures, cultural heritage and social service structures. Mrs. Pîrvănescu also enjoys extensive expertise in banking firstly as a credit broker and then managing packages for both private and corporate customers. At the beginning of her career, Paula joined the Cabinet of a Member of the Parliament and then became part of the team within the Department of Financial and Monetary Policy of the Social Democratic Party. She was also advisor to the Parliament of Romania.

Pavel Câmpan has been named Vice-President of Operations for TELUS International Romania as for August 2017. This appointment comes at a time when the company is about to reach 1,500 team members locally. With more than 20 years of worldwide experience in Operations, leading high performing teams in different leadership positions in the areas of Program Management, Engineering and Managed Services, Pavel joins the Canadian BPO company most recently from Ericsson, where his impressive career spanned more than eight years and five countries. Pavel will provide overall leadership and support to the growing TELUS International business in Romania, serving as an integral part of the TELUS International Europe (TIE) senior leadership team. In his current role, he will coordinate the integration of Voxpro Romania operations and its teams, after the recent acquisition by TELUS International in August 2017. Richard Perrin
Richard joined KPMG in Romania in 2005 and has gained significant experience in audit and financial advisory services. He has headed teams performing audit and advisory services for large multinationals, as well as small and medium-sized entities, mainly in industrial and consumer markets, construction and real estate, infrastructure, agriculture and healthcare. He has also taken an active role in marketing KPMG’s services to new clients. He is one of the 25 foreign trade counselors for France in Romania, who are attaches to the French Embassy. Richard is as well a Vice President of the Board of the French – Romanian Chamber of Commerce and a member in the Board of the Foreign Investors Council in Romania (FIC). Richard is the leader of the Shared Services and Outsourcing Advisory Department of KPMG Romania, having strong experience in advising national and multinational companies in their journey from decentralized operations to sourcing. Advising on sourcing strategy to be pursued, design, implementation and optimization of business services operations are only some of the many topics Richard has assisted his clients over time. In addition, Richard led the team that set up KPMG’s audit service center in Bucharest, Audit Delivery Academy, back in 2011, which is successfully providing audit services to KPMG offices located in several European countries.
Silviu Pavel
Silviu Pavel graduated in 1983 from the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Mathematics Faculty, specializing in Information Technology. After graduation, he joined and went on to lead the Information Systems Service at the local branch of the National Energy Company, named RENEL at the time. At RENEL, he led the project to build the first modern computer network within the branch. In 1996, Silviu moved into the private sector, taking a leadership role focused on the market development of hardware and software IT solutions with a local HP partner. In this context, he developed a deep understanding and fruitful relationship with a leading local outsourcing company, Selir. In 2005 he decided to join the Selir team, which was experiencing high growth at the time. His mandate included finding new opportunities in the booming outsourcing market. In over 12 years of leading the Centro Servizi Romania, he oversaw the sustained growth of the BackOffice department, and subsequently developed a new Contact Center department. Currently, Silviu is actively involved in process mapping with a view to implementing the appropriate PRA solutions to achieve further efficiencies and growth. His motto is: Get yourself a team, listen, challenge constructively and drive forward.
Silviu Dragomir
Silviu Dragomir is one of the founders of Eucom. He started this journey in 2002, leading the company towards being a Center of Excellence in Foreign Language Services. Prior to the foundation of Eucom, Silviu Dragomir worked in sales management in the automotive industry, developing relevant customer-oriented competencies alongside with performance management and leadership abilities. After 15 years of management, Silviu now takes pride in the company’s wide range of language training programs and its ever-growing team of specialists. At present, along with his team, Silviu is examining the opportunities of bringing success to clients that are active at an international level.
Sorina Donisa
Sorina has more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources, Finance and Consulting and has been the CEO of APT Resources & Services since 2010. She joined APT Group in 1998 as Chief Accountant and, even though she started by coordinating the financial department, over the years she has managed to develop a strong Human Resources business line within APT. Sorina graduated the West University of Timisoara with major in Finance & Accounting and she served two consecutive terms of office as President of ARAMT (The Romanian Association of Temporary Work Agents), whose mission is to create a flexible and suitable regulatory environment for temporary staffing in Romania. In 2017, 80% of four companies in the APT Group were acquired by Work Service Group, one of the main players on HR market in Central and Eastern Europe. Vargha holds a Bachelor degree in Commerce from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Montpellier and a Master degree in Business Administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
