The Association of Leaders in the Business Services Industry in Romania (ABSL) announced the election of Florin Grama, customer service and support director for Microsoft Romania, as their new president.
Florin Grama has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, holding key management positions in multinationals like Microsoft Romania or Siemens. For the last three years, he has been coordinating the customer service and support division, the largest of Microsoft’s support teams in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is replacing former president Alexander Weigl, who has taken over as the director of HP’s new global marketing business services division.
ABSL brings together the most important companies in the IT domain, including Shared Services Center (SSC), Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), IT Outsourcing (ITO) and Research and Development (R&D).
“I truly believe the business services industry will be one of the main drivers for economic development in Romania in the coming years. ABSL has a key role in this development, as it is the main organization that actively supports constant collaboration and enhances interaction between companies in the field and authorities, with the objective of accelerating industry growth. I am pleased to contribute, along with the board members, to the implementation of the association’s ambitious plans and objectives,” said Florin Grama, the newly appointed president of ABSL.
