Our brands are sold in more than 200 markets worldwide and in 2018 we were market leaders in more than 50 of them. Our portfolio reflects our commitment to meeting the preferences of today’s adult smokers while transforming tobacco with a choice of potentially reduced-risk products. These include vapour, tobacco heating products, modern oral products – such as tobacco-free nicotine pouches – as well as traditional oral products such as snus and moist snuff.
We have a strong global presence, with 55 factories in 48 countries. We manage our supply chain and the environment responsibly, leading in product expertise and working directly with over 90,000 independent farmers worldwide.

BAT Global Business Services (GBS) provide support services for Finance, HR and other functions, to over 180 British American Tobacco entities / markets across the globe. More than 2,000 employees working in GBS centres in Costa Rica, Malaysia and Romania, satellite locations and centres of excellence, ensure that activities in Finance, HR, Tactical Procurement, Global Treasury, Enterprise Data Management, Data, Reporting & Analytics, Business Relationship, Business Optimization, and other areas go on smoothly.

In Romania, British American Tobacco is the second largest contributor to the national budget and has recently celebrated 20 years. In these 20 years we contributed over 90 billion euros to the national budget, being the biggest player on the Romania tobacco market.
