Project Description
The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași
The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEAA), part of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași (UAIC) is the largest faculty of economic sciences in Romania, with a vibrant community of 7000 students and over 300 academic staff members. FEAA is actively integrated with Iași’s expanding business community, serving as a key source of talent for the city’s growing network of shared-services and business-support centers, corporate branches, and local startups.
FEAA offers a comprehensive academic portfolio: 10 Bachelor’s specialties and 23 Master’s programmes spanning fields such as Economics and International Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems, and Marketing, including specializations taught in English. To support regional access to education, the faculty operates at study extensions in Piatra Neamț, Botoșani, and Bălți (Republic of Moldova), alongside flexible Distance Learning (ID) and Part-Time Learning (IFR) formats designed for working professionals who want to specialize, deepen their expertise, or retrain in a new field.
Beyond undergraduate and Master’s studies, FEAA runs a Doctoral School spanning 10 fields of economic research, where PhD students and faculty members contribute actively to national and international academic literature, including through the faculty’s own scientific journals and regular participation in scientific conferences.
A core pillar of FEAA’s mission is its close integration with the business community. The faculty partners with leading professional organizations, including Romanian Business Leaders (RBL) – founding partner of the faculty’s Centre of Excellence in Business Administration, which connects top students directly with business professionals – and the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania (CECCAR), keeping its curriculum aligned with real market needs. Since 2023, FEAA has also collaborated with the Association of Business Service Leaders in Romania (ABSL), bringing experienced industry practitioners directly into lecture halls to share real-world insights with students each semester.
Through these partnerships, FEAA bridges the gap between academic theory and business practice, preparing graduates who are ready to contribute from day one, as well-trained economists, managers, and professionals equipped for the demands of a dynamic, global market.
